Get Involved

There are several ways to get involved and participate in the CLOSER Neuropsychology's Lab research. 

Individuals from traditionally underrepresented groups including, women, minorities, LGBTQIA+, and people with disabilities are welcome and encouraged to get involved in the CLOSER Neuropsychology Lab.

There are multiple ongoing studies and when we are recruiting participants, links will be available here.

Individuals with lived experience, particularly related to mild cognitive impairment, dementia, and psychosis spectrum conditions are welcome to reach out to Dr. Pishdadian directly to be involved with research including creating and advising on new projects. 

Volunteers & Undergraduate Trainees

If you are interested in volunteering or completing a course, including an undergraduate thesis, please email Dr. Sara Pishdadian with your: 1) unofficial transcript, 2) C.V.,  3)  brief paragraph (<500 words) describing why you are interested in working together.

Dr. Sara Pishdadian is planning to accept Masters trainee(s) for the 2026 cohort through York University's Department of Psychology and in the Clinical Psychology & Neuropsychology program. Information on areas of research are available on this website for prospective graduate trainees to list Dr. Pishdadian as a prospective supervisor in their applications to York University.  A strong interest and past experience in research is expected to join the CLOSER Neuropsychology lab. â€‹

It is not necessary and will not provide an advantage in the admission process to email Dr. Pishdadian prior to applying. However, you are welcome to reach out with any specific questions.

The CLOSER Neuropsychology Lab has both national and international collaborators. Community-based collaborations are welcome.
