About

Dr. Sara Pishdadian (she/her) is the director of the CLOSER Neuropsychology Lab.

She is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology in the Clinical Psychology & Clinical Neuropsychology program at York University. You can learn more about her educational and professional background below. She collaborates with psychologists, neurologists, psychiatrists, and other colleagues from different disciplines at York University, in the GTA and internationally for integrative research. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, spending time with loved ones and identifies as a foodie.

At CAMH, Dr. Pishdadian worked in the Geriatric Mental Health, Schizophrenia Neuropsychology Assessment and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for psychosis Services (CBT-p).

​

At West Park Healthcare Centre, Dr. Pishdadian worked in the Psychology department and provided services to individuals in the Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Respiratory, Musculoskeletal, Geriatric Rehab, Stroke and Neurological Rehabilitation, and Tuberculosis Services.

At TOH, Dr. Pishdadian's rotations consisted of experiences in: acute care neuropsychology with exposure to the Deep Brain Stimulation service and Geriatric Day Hospital (outpatient), group psychological intervention at the Ottawa Heart Institute with adults and geriatric patients (outpatient), TOH Rehabilitation Centre's Long-COVID rehabilitation program, TOH Rehabilitation Centre outpatient individual psychotherapy, Robin Easey Centre, and in the Outpatient ABI Neuropsychology service.
